…today…

So this is my first official blog on our family website. I’m very excited to be blogging, though at times I have a tendency to ramble– I will try to reign myself in so that no one will get bored!! This is a very hectic time for our family… I could go into lots of details, but then we’d be here all night!! So I’ll hone in on a few specifics.

Today, Jason, the kids, and I specked out Jason’s new location on the Square. It’s right on the corner of 4th and New York. We’re pretty excited. For the time being, we are just going to paint (currently the entire frontage is an interesting shade of periwinkle) and get in and get set-up, but plans are in the works for major renovations to the building– both inside and out (some by us, some by the building owner). The interior decorating gets left to me (YAY!) and Jason will take care of the heavy-lifting/technical set-up(Zzzzz…). We’re hoping to move and paint this weekend, of course, this is complicated by the fact that we have four young children and no one to look after them and also that Jason and I are both chomping at the bit to work on the house…. What is that about biting off more than you can chew???

As we move into summer, Jason is looking to take on some employees– probably a computer tech and a reception/marketing person. I’m psyched about this because I’m hoping it will free Jason up a little bit– both in time and also stress/pressure, which, in turn, will overflow onto me! It’s amazing how business ownership is liberating and yet binding at the same time. I will try to post some pictures in the next few days of Jason’s new shop (before&after) and please remember that as we are trying to establish this business, we are always open to suggestions and comments. We welcome them!!!
