‘A flute without holes, is not a flute. A donut without a hole is a danish!’

That’s a quote by Chevy Chase from Caddyshack… anyway

In the time since we’ve remodeled our kitchen, I have rediscovered my love of cooking… Jason has discovered it, too! He came home one day with a recipe for homemade donuts. So I decided to give it a shot!

Cookin' up some fattening, yummy homemade donuts!

We do not have deep fryer, though I think we may purchase one soon! But a wok did the trick. The secret to great donuts is the proper oil temperature! I tested out my oil on the donut holes. I think I had half a dozen or so casualties! :(

Check out that texture! They were VERY yummy!!!

The entire family really enjoyed this recipe, though it took much longer to complete than I had originally estimated. Next time, I will roll the donuts out the night before and then let them rise. All the same, I certainly wasn’t sorry I attempted such a challenging project!

I made LOTS of them!!! And donut holes, too!
